How fast is server provisioning?

New servers are ready within 30-60 seconds. You get immediate root access via SSH and can start deploying right away.

What is the difference between Shared vCPU and Dedicated CPU?

Shared vCPU servers share CPU resources with other users - perfect for most workloads. Dedicated CPU servers have guaranteed CPU cores - ideal for high-performance applications, databases, or consistent workloads.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my server?

Upgrades are instant and can be done anytime via your control panel. Downgrading is limited because disk size cannot be reduced - if your current disk is 80 GB, you cannot move to a server with 40 GB disk. Contact us to discuss options like migrating data to a new smaller server.

What about traffic and bandwidth?

All servers include 20 TB outbound traffic per month. Incoming traffic is unlimited and free (not counted). Additional outbound traffic is billed at €1 net per TB and added to your next monthly invoice. Network speeds range from 1-10 Gbit/s depending on server type.

Can I add more storage to my server?

Yes! Block Storage Volumes let you add extra SSD storage (10 GB to 10 TB) for €0.044/GB/month. Volumes mount like an extra hard drive and can be resized anytime. Important: Volumes are NOT included in server backups - back them up separately.

What is the difference between Backups and Snapshots?

Both are complete disk images (OS, apps, data - everything) stored separately from your server in a different physical location (different fire zone). Backups: 7 automatic daily copies. Snapshots: 6 monthly copies. One-click restore: rebuild your entire server instantly from any backup or snapshot.

How is snapshot pricing calculated?

7-Day Backups 7-Day Backups are great for quick recoveries. But what if a virus infects your server and you don't notice for 2 weeks? All 7 backups are infected too!

6-Month Snapshots 6-Month Snapshots give you restore points from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 months ago. Even if something goes unnoticed for weeks, you can always go back to a clean state.

Cost? Just ~€1-2/month for a typical server. Peace of mind? Priceless.

📋 How Snapshot Billing Works (Simple Version)

First Month: You pay €0 for snapshots.We create the snapshot at month-end, billing comes next month.

Months 2-6: Costs slowly build up as more snapshots are stored.Each month you have one more snapshot to pay for.

Month 7+: The oldest snapshot is deleted. You always have exactly 6.Costs stabilize — no endless accumulation!

€0.0216 per GB per month

Only for actually used space — not your total disk size! If your 40 GB disk only uses 16 GB, you pay for 16 GB.

Server price paid yearly upfront, but snapshots still billed monthly based on usage.

💾 Block Volumes?

Extra storage volumes don't include snapshots. Back them up separately.

Are Backups and Snapshots consistent?

Both are "crash-consistent" - like pulling the power cord. The filesystem recovers fine (journaled), but databases may have uncommitted transactions in memory. For databases, always use pg_dump/mysqldump before backup/snapshot for true transaction consistency.

What is included with DDoS Protection?

Enterprise-grade DDoS protection is included free. Traffic is automatically filtered and malicious requests are blocked before reaching your server.

Which operating systems are available?

Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 LTS, Debian 11/12, AlmaLinux 8/9, Rocky Linux 8/9, CentOS Stream 9, and Fedora. You can also upload custom ISO images.

What is NOT allowed on the servers?

Prohibited: Cryptocurrency mining (including staking), DDoS attacks, spam/open mail relays, network scanning, and illegal content. Violations result in immediate suspension without refund.

What is your refund policy?

EU 14-day withdrawal right applies. You can cancel within 14 days for a refund, minus the pro-rata cost for days used and any extras. Example: €20/month server used for 14 days with 5 TB extra traffic = €20 - €10 (14 days) - €5 (traffic) = €5 refund. Domains are non-refundable.

Is there a setup fee or contract?

No setup fees, no contracts. Pay monthly, cancel anytime. All prices are net (excluding VAT). Prices may be adjusted with advance notice.
